About the Opportunity
Join a dynamic acute care hospital committed to exceptional patient care and team member growth. We're seeking a Perioperative Services Director to lead clinical, operational, and fiscal performance across perioperative units. Drive short- and long-term strategies, ensure compliance with care standards, and champion staffing, quality, safety, service, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to managers and frontline staff; develop and execute long-term plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Communicate priorities, monitor progress, and deliver direction/course corrections.
  • Analyze trends, make data-driven decisions impacting short-term results, and manage budgets for financial accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement broad operational solutions.
  • Attend/facilitate meetings; resolve physician/staff issues, patient/family grievances, and disruptive behaviors.
  • Oversee performance improvement, policy creation/revision, regulatory readiness, and vendor relations.
  • Coach teams on utilization/resource management, PI, budgeting, personnel, and change initiatives.
  • Mentor staff, promote evidence-based practice/research, shared governance, and professional development.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and facilitate workgroups for unit goals.

What Your Day Looks Like
Lead multiple teams, strategize with managers, respond to urgent communications (email/voicemail/text), engage in relationship-building, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Success Factors & Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Texas (required).
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • 5+ years nursing management experience (3-5 years at Manager level or above).
  • 2+ years surgical/perioperative nursing experience.
  • Excellent English communication (verbal/written); additional languages a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • 5-7 years total experience; Seniority: Director level.
  • No travel required
