Are you a detaildriven construction professional who takes pride in doing things the right way? Do you thrive in the field, ensuring complex projects are built safely, accurately, and in full compliance with plans and standards?

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking three Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Inspection Team in Ridgeland, SC and play a handson role in observing, documenting, and verifying the quality of infrastructure projects that communities rely on every day. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise while working closely with project teams, contractors, and clients in the field.


  • Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and approved submittals
  • Verify quality of completed work through field measurements, computations, and monitoring of contractor quality control efforts
  • Identify nonconforming work and support evaluation of corrective actions to ensure acceptability
  • Review contractor payment applications, change orders, and quantities of completed work to support progress payments
  • Coordinate with owners, contractors, and project teams while maintaining clear reports and accurate project records

  • High school diploma required; Associateโ€™s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related construction observation experience required
  • SCDOT certification in asphalt and earthwork preferred
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to comprehend construction documents
  • Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with project teams and assisting senior team members with complex projects
  • Strong communication and mathematics skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required; extensive travel may be required
