Job description

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER | Richmond, VACONFIDENTIAL EXECUTIVE SEARCH

Weโ€™re partnering with a large, global, privately held organization to identify its next Chief Financial Officer โ€” a highly visible executive leadership role with the opportunity to help shape the companyโ€™s next chapter.

This is much more than leading Accounting & Finance. Weโ€™re looking for a strategic business leader who can connect the numbers to the bigger picture, influence executive decision-making and help drive sustainable, profitable growth.

The CFO will:
  • Partner closely with the President, executive leadership and global stakeholders
  • Lead financial strategy, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and companywide performance
  • Drive long-term value creation, profitability and margin improvement
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and performance metrics across the organization
  • Provide financial leadership around investments, integrations, expansion and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee financial reporting, risk management, internal controls, audit and regulatory compliance
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Finance & Accounting organization
  • Help navigate a complex, geographically dispersed business operating within a global organization
Who are we looking for?

A proven CFO, VP Finance, Divisional CFO or senior finance executive with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience and a strong foundation in corporate finance, accounting, controls and financial strategy. Experience with business integrations, transformation or complex multi-site organizations is especially attractive. MBA, CPA or equivalent credentials are preferred.

Just as important: this person needs to be approachable, collaborative and commercially minded โ€” someone who can think strategically without becoming disconnected from the business or the people running it.
