Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ultrasound technologist to join our team. This position is located in a 400-bed facility in Houston, TX, within the Ultrasound Department. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, proactive professional who can work independently and contribute positively to our dynamic team environment.
Shift Details
The shift for this position is from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Additionally, weekend and holiday coverage is required during the night from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Unit Information
  • Number of Beds: 400
  • Number of Staff Required: 2 at all times for this shift
Staffing Requirements
Staffing for the day shift typically includes positions such as 1 charge nurse, 3 registered nurses (RNs), 2 certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and 1-3 sitters. For night shifts, we require 2 professionals, with possible variations in scheduling.

  • GE Logics and Volusons
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Expanse
Qualifications
Required Skills: Candidates must possess:
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in ABD and OB
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric experience, especially with neonatal heads
  • OB/GYN experience
Preferred Skills: Candidates with the following experience will be prioritized:
  • General sonographic experience
  • Vascular experience
Typical Procedures
  • All OB/GYN exams
  • Neonatal head ultrasounds
  • General ultrasound for adults, pediatrics, and neonates
Personality Fit
The successful candidate will possess a bubbly, optimistic demeanor and a strong capability to work independently.

The designated scrub color is hunter green. Please ensure compliance with the following guidelines:
