Job description

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Program Manager to support KITS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.
The customer may need support as needed at other locations: Warrenton, VA, Atlantic City, NJ, Melbourne, FL, Oklahoma, OK and Leesburg, VA.

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of a major technical program. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with Government program authorities and stakeholders, ensuring successful execution of contract requirements and overall program objectives. This role requires a strategic leader with deep experience managing complex technical projects and multifunctional teams.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contract effort.
  • Act as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives regarding technical and programmatic issues.
  • Oversee all program/project operations, including developing procedures, planning activities, and directing the execution of technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative efforts.
  • Monitor and report program/project progress, identifying risks and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage acquisition and utilization of program resources to achieve project goals.
  • Oversee financial and administrative aspects of the program to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to program/project staff.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience managing technical programs or projects and supervising staff activities.
  • At least three (3) years of Government contracting experience within the 15 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Active project or program management certification such as:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP),
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP),
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP), or
  • Equivalent program/project management certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing federal government programs.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and complex technical requirements.
