Job description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform
Job Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer on the RevSpring Team, the Software Engineer will build and improve the core systems that power provider and location data management for major health systems and insurance providers. The role is a key technical contributor-writing code daily, solving complex problems, and collaborating closely with the team to deliver features that affect millions of patient interactions.
Essential Functions:
  • Build and maintain features within the core data platform that serves as the system of record for provider and location information across major health systems and insurance providers
  • Develop and optimize PostgreSQL schemas that model complex healthcare entities, working with data normalized from Epic, Cerner, Athena, and other EHR and data systems into a canonical data model
  • Build and improve the APIs and data services that downstream applications depend on for provider and location search, matching, and directory functionality
  • Implement entity resolution and data quality logic to deduplicate and reconcile provider and location records across disparate source systems
  • Build modern web-based UI interfaces (React.js) that enable health system administrators to quickly view and manage their data at scale
  • Collaborate with staff and principal engineers on technical direction while mentoring more junior teammates
  • Contribute to system reliability by investigating production issues, participating in incident response, and improving resilience across the platform

Minimum Requirements:
Specific Job Skills:
  • Experience with TypeScript/React for frontend development
  • Hands-on with Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices
  • Experience dealing with messy, real-world data and have opinions about how to clean it up
  • Experience thinking about performance implications before they become problems
  • Experience writing code that other engineers actually want to maintain
  • Experience communicating clearly with teammates and can explain technical decisions in context
  • Experience being by energized by healthcare's potential to improve through better technology

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
  • 5+ years building production software with Python (strong OOP fundamentals)
  • 5+ years with relational databases-you can design schemas, optimize queries, and explain why your JOIN strategy matters
  • 5+ years collaborating with Git in team environments
