Job description

Schedule/Shift: ability to work between the hours of 8a & 8p, some weekends required

Key Functions

  1. Greets and provides directions to patients, families and visitors Monitors Front Lobby
  • Greets and provides direction to patients, Families and visitors
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of Menninger services/programs
  • Reports all safety concerns
  • Coordinates with security to ensure all campus visitors are approved
  • Manages visitation protocol (signing in, locking up belongings, directs to unit, etc.)
  • Perform outpatient scheduling tasks in Cerner
  • Checks in all outpatients
  • Ensures all outpatient paperwork is complete and uploaded prior to visit
  • Accepts deliveries and notifies the appropriate parties
  • Answers the telephone calls and routes calls to appropriate location using the 8 x 8 phone system
  • Enters calls into salesforce when indicated
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality
  • Follows all emergency management protocols
  1. Greets and checks in admitting patients
  • Follows admissions protocols for all programs
  • Ensures that luggage remains at desk to guard against contraband
  • Ensures valuables are secure
  • Issues electronic devices and keeps records
  • Issues ID badges
  • Works closely with concierge to ensure a seamless admission

Proficient in:

Cerner Applications, AdManager, Badge Printer, Salesforce, 8 x 8 phone system

High level customer service skills

Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:

Required: 1 to 3 years of administrative/receptionist experience, preferably healthcare experience or billing setting.

Experience in scheduling, payment processing, and Cerner experience preferred
