Job description

Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Under moderate supervision, assists with day to day operation of Security Department; conducts preliminary inquiries and investigations; prepares written reports; assists Hospital personnel, patients, guests and visitors. Maintains a constant state of alert for safety and security breeches. Patrols the facilities to ensure the safety and security of our staff, patients, visitors and guests and the protection of company assets.
  • Patrols Hospital buildings and grounds.
  • Prepares, in writing, incident reports as required by the Security Department Policy.
  • Investigates all complaints and or incidents coming to their attention.
  • Provides escorts for patients, visitors and employees.
  • Secures various exterior and interior doors as necessary.
  • Responds to all calls for Service on the Hospital campus.
  • Monitors the security and safety conditions on the Hospital campus, and reports any violations or corrective actions as needed.
  • Applies the principles of the Mission, Values and Goals of the organization, as they relate to exceptional customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Synquest; Standard Office Equipment.
  • Maryland Driver's License preferred
  • CPR Certification through the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire
