Business Office Manager

Ozanam Hall of Queens Nursing home in Bayside Queens is a not-for-profit Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Facility served by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. Ozanam Hall is a Catholic, faith-based home guided by the mission to bring dignity and quality of life to the care of seniors, where\"The Difference is Love\". We are committed to promote the quality of life of our elderly.

Ozanam Hall of Queens is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to provide leadership and oversight of the facility's revenue cycle, Medicaid, billing, payer management, census reconciliation, collections, and resident trust functions.

The Senior Business Office Manager will also provide direct oversight, guidance, and support to the Junior Business Office Manager, ensuring accuracy, accountability, timely follow-up, and consistent application of Business Office procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong New York Medicaid and skilled nursing/long-term care experience, expert knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC), and demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

  • $75K to $85K annually based on skills and experience.
Business Office Manager Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • 3+ years of business office, billing, AR, Medicaid, or revenue-cycle experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid Pending, NAMI, PPA, and payer eligibility required.
  • Strong knowledge of New York Medicaid and long-term care reimbursement required.
  • Expert proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
Business Office Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Business Office and provide direction and supervision to assistant Business Office Manager.
  • Review and monitor work completed by the Junior Business Office Manager for accuracy, completeness, and timely follow-up.
  • Train, mentor, and support Business Office staff and promote consistent adherence to facility procedures.
  • Manage and monitor Medicaid applications, pending cases, renewals, eligibility, and follow-up.
  • Oversee payer eligibility, Managed Medicaid, Medicare, authorizations, LOC, NAMI, and PPA.
  • Maintain accurate census and Payer Tree information in PointClickCare (PCC).
  • Provide financial counseling and support to residents and families.
  • Oversee resident trust accounts, PNA distributions, statements, and petty cash.
  • Participate in Medicaid/OMIG audits, Triple Check Meetings, and Private Pay AR reviews.
  • Monitor Medicare days and required billing documentation, including NOMNCs and ABNs.
  • Oversee private-pay collections and assist with resident and family billing questions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential financial records and support regulatory compliance.
