Chateau Napoleon Caring is looking for a dependable, organized, and compassionate Ward Clerk to support our Nursing Department. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and being part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of our residents.

What You'll Do
Nursing Department Support
  • Verify the daily census and prepare and distribute census reports.
  • Process admission and discharge records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and route calls appropriately.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with coordinating resident needs.
  • Provide administrative support to the Nursing Department.
  • Assist residents, families, and visitors with questions and requests.
  • Run facility errands, including traveling to local supply sources as needed.
  • Work cooperatively with residents, families, nursing staff, physicians, consultants, and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Complete assigned duties and support the nursing team as needed.

Supply Support
  • Inventory and stock supplies at nursing stations and designated supply areas.
  • Distribute supplies to nursing staff as needed.
  • Assist the Central Supply Director with assigned duties.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Communicate supply needs or shortages to the appropriate team member.

Resident & Family Support
  • Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Direct questions and requests to the appropriate member of the care team.
  • Provide courteous and compassionate service to residents and their representatives.
  • Help create a welcoming and organized environment for residents and their families.

Privacy & Safety
  • Maintain the confidentiality of residents' protected health information (PHI).
  • Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding resident privacy and confidentiality.
  • Follow computer and information-security procedures.
  • Immediately report suspected resident abuse to the Administrator.
  • Follow all facility safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Comfortable working with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete administrative tasks.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous healthcare, long-term care, clerical, or administrative experience is a plus.
  • CNA certification preferred, but not required.
