Hybrid Census New Business Case Specialist Needed for Insurance Company (Lombard, IL) Our client, a busy and growing Insurance Company located in Lombard, IL, has immediate staffing needs for a Census New Business Case Specialist. This position is responsible for the new case submission process, reviewing sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy, and ensuring Acceptance of Risk for new group business. The role supports front-end sales activity by partnering with Sales Management, BCBS representatives, agency managers, brokers, managing general agents, Underwriting, and other key business partners. These are full-time, Monday-Friday hybrid contract positions expected to continue through the end of the year. A company laptop will be provided. Job Responsibilities Review new business case submissions and sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Coordinate new group business activity with Sales Management, BCBS representatives, agency managers, brokers, managing general agents, and other business partners. Resolve escalated issues related to new business submissions and case processing. Partner with Underwriting to assess and communicate risk decisions. Prepare documentation and notifications for reinsurers and the Reinsurance Department. Serve as a liaison between Marketing, Underwriting, and Policy Issue Coders. Verify rates for accuracy, including applicable commission levels and discounts. Identify commission sub-types for specific products and coordinate with the Commissions Department when needed. Validate broker licensing and appointment information. Audit pricing discounts to ensure compliance with internal controls and MARS guidelines. Participate in projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of insurance experience OR 6 years of insurance, marketing, or sales support experience. Knowledge of insurance sales processing and underwriting concepts. Strong customer service, organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of ancillary employee benefits products and contracts. LOMA certification.
