Cemetery grounds maintenance duties include cutting and trimming grass, hedge-trimming, mulching, planting flower beds, watering, and assistance with various landscaping projects.
Seasonal hours:
  • Tentatively May through August.
  • Monday-Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm; start date/hours can be flexible.

Essential Duties:
  • Cutting and trimming grass around monuments and markers.
  • Maintaining flower beds; planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and trimming hedges or shrubbery.
  • Assisting with burials as needed.
  • Related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must comply with City policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:
  • Experience on zero-turn mower and trimmers.
