Include people. Position Overview: The City of Neenah is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Cemetery Technician. The Cemetery Technician is a full-time position in the Parks and Recreation Department under the supervision of the Superintendent of Parks/City Forester and Cemetery Foreman.

The primary responsibility is managing cemetery operations, including grave preparation, landscaping, maintenance, and customer interactions. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, layout, and excavate burial sites; restore and landscape gravesites post-burial. Coordinate lot sales with families and funeral homes, addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy.

Perform groundskeeping (mowing, tree maintenance, snow removal, landscaping), facility upkeep (cleaning, HVAC maintenance, minor repairs), and monument and structure restoration. Operate and maintain equipment such as loaders, backhoes, tractors, and power tools. Assist with tree planting and pruning, and train seasonal or part-time employees.

Be available for after-hours emergencies and on-call responsibilities. Qualifications: Education: A technical degree in construction trades, horticulture, or related fields preferred. Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with minimum two to three year's experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance, construction or other relevant experience required.

Other: A CDL (Class B with N endorsement) within one year of hire. Salary and Benefits: Salary Range: $49,940.80 - $59,696.00, depending on experience. Salary range reflects base to midpoint of the pay scale

Offers above midpoint require Council approval. Health, dental, and life insurance. Participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
