Job description

FNF Construction, Inc. is a general contractor providing heavy civil construction services throughout the Southwestern United States.

We are seeking a journeyman-level Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience performing concrete placement and finishing for highway/bridge construction projects. The masons will assist the structures carpenters building, setting and removing forms, and pouring concrete. The masons must be able to lift 60 lbs, climb and balance on ladders and scaffolding and will often work around live traffic and active heavy machinery.

  • Perform concrete placement, finishing, and curing for highway, bridge, and structural projects.
  • Assist structures carpenters with building, setting, aligning, and stripping formwork.
  • Prepare work areas by leveling, compacting, and setting grades.
  • Operate hand and power finishing tools, including trowels, floats, screeds, and power trowels.
  • Monitor concrete during placement to ensure proper consolidation, surface quality, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Apply finishing techniques such as edging, jointing, brooming, and troweling.
  • Place and finish concrete in various weather conditions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cement Mason or Concrete Finisher in highway/bridge construction.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing processes.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform tasks requiring strength, balance, and endurance.
