ROLE OVERVIEW:
Our season kicks off in April and runs through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you'll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long.
This position is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer truck to deliver equipment to designated location.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
  1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
  2. Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms
  3. Perform daily housekeeping on truck
  4. Safely operate and maintain truck
  5. Properly load, secure & unload material
  6. Recognize chain ratings, proper securements
  7. Accurately complete load tickets where applicable
  8. Communicate or plan routing with Dispatch or State system
  9. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.)
  10. Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
  11. Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance
  12. Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)
  1. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations
  2. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
  1. Over 3 months up to and including 6 months from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
  2. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
  3. A CDL Class A (tractor-trailer) license

COMPENSATION:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
