Job Summary …

The purpose of this position is to perform daily tasks related to Tube Mill material Handling, as well as Tube Mill Machine Operation.

Your Responsibilities …

1. Must be able to set-up, and operate the equipment, listed below:

  • Cutoff
  • Forming end
  • Brush machine
  • Straightener
  • Seam welder
  • Westinghouse
  • Dimple press

2. Must know quality standards for all pieces of equipment and be able to identify product deviations early in the cycle.

3. Must be able to identify all Tubes, with ability for material handling, sorting, stacking finished Tubes.

4. Must know, understand, and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.

5. Must know, understand, and abide by plant ISO procedures.

Physical Skills and Efforts…

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. chest high on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on a hard cement surface.
  • Will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat and climb ladders up to 8 feet high.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside.

Working Conditions and Hazards …

  • Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, welding fumes, natural gas, fuel oils, and machine lubricants and/or oils.
  • Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes and fall protection.
