Production Supervisor – Cement Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a cement manufacturing plant in Maryneal, TX. This is a hands-on shift leadership role responsible for safely and efficiently operating the plant while supervising production employees in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
The Production Supervisor will oversee kiln, mill, and auxiliary equipment operations while driving safety, production, equipment reliability, product quality, and environmental compliance. This position is a strong fit for a proven frontline supervisor with heavy industrial manufacturing experience who is comfortable leading crews in a continuous-process operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise shift production crews and ensure kilns, mills, and auxiliary equipment are operated safely and efficiently.
* Lead employees and contractors in accordance with company safety requirements and MSHA standards.
* Ensure plant operations follow established standard operating practices.
* Monitor operating conditions to prevent equipment damage and support reliable plant performance.
* Maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
* Ensure production meets established company quality standards.
* Maximize equipment operating time and throughput while maintaining safe and responsible operating practices.
* Provide effective frontline leadership and communication throughout the shift.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year associate degree preferred.
* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
* Cement, lime, or aggregates industry experience preferred.
* Experience supervising employees in a union environment preferred.
* Control room or laboratory experience preferred.
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work rotating shifts supporting a 24/7 plant operation.
