Enterprise Clinical Documentation Improvement Clinical Data Analyst

Job Description

Under the direction of the Enterprise AVP of Revenue Cycle, CDI, the CDI Enterprise Clinical Data Analyst specializes in internal reporting, process improvement, and internal database management for the Enterprise CDI Division. The position involves compiling, analyzing, and leveraging data for enhanced operational efficiency and informed decision-making within the organization. This pivotal role requires a keen understanding of healthcare processes, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a dedication to driving continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Compile and Manage Data: Gather and organize comprehensive clinical and staff data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

2. Reporting and Data Analysis: Develop and maintain reports utilizing advanced data analysis techniques and statistical analysis to interpret datasets identifying patterns, trends, and correlations.

3. Data visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to convert datasets into actionable observations and communicate findings such as healthcare performance metrics, staff data, and clinical data insights to provide easily comprehendible, useful information to Senior Leadership, Senior CDI Director, and CDI managers.

5. Database Management: Utilize advanced Excel formulas, VBA, and other programming languages to design, implement, and manage internal databases dedicated to tracking and analyzing productivity metrics, staff performance, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Expert level analytical skills required with strong critical thinking. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with previous experience working collaboratively within teams required. Ability to work remotely and manage participation in multiple committees. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management with Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential required. Must have a minimum of three years related healthcare experience with a minimum of 1 year of technical experience working within electronic health records.


Additional Qualifications

    Prior experience at a large academic medical center preferred. EPIC experience strongly preferred.
