Job description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant or LVN for the Front & Back Office to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Greet, check-in & escort patients to exam rooms
  • Verify patient information and insurance eligibility & collect co-payments
  • Take patient histories and vital signs, prepare them for exams
  • Ensure patient information, history, vitals and reports are accurate and current in EMR
  • Answer multiple phone lines and schedule appointments; follow up on patient calls, prescription requests & referrals
  • Check, order and maintain supply inventory & equipment maintenance logs and patient handouts
  • Provide support to the physicians as needed and as directed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years previous back office Medical Assistant experience, family practice/internal medicine preferred
  • Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • CPR certified
  • Electronic medical records (EMR) experience
  • NextGen EMR experience preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Current with CLIA and OSHA guidelines
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
