Position: Network Administrator Primary Location: Washington, DC 20534 Shift: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8-hour shift Clearance Required: Public Trust Clearance โ€” must be able to obtain and maintain prior to performance RESPONSIBILITIES Administer FPI network resources and access under direction of the Government Lead Network Administrator Install and configure computer networks and systems Identify and resolve problems that arise with computer networks and systems Assemble new systems; maintain and upgrade existing hardware and software Monitor computer networks and systems to identify performance improvements Work with IT support personnel to provide comprehensive network administration and support EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 7 years of networking experience CompTIA Network+ Certification can substitute for 2 years of the required 7 years of experience Cisco CCNA Certification can substitute for 3 years of the required 7 years of experience Note: Certifications may be combined โ€” e.g., Network+ (2 yrs) + CCNA (3 yrs) = up to 5 years substitution, requiring only 2 years additional hands-on experience CERTIFICATIONS CompTIA Network+ โ€” substitutes for 2 years of required networking experience Cisco CCNA โ€” substitutes for 3 years of required networking experience
