Job Description:
SUMMARY
Instructs and develops curriculum forcourses within the Information Technology function in Tri-C's WorkforceInnovation.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
  • The ability to teach CISCO courses within the following subjects:
    • Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or
    • Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/routing and switching portion
    • Cisco Certified Voice-over IP (CCVP) or Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/voice-over IP portion
    • Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/routing and switching portion
    • Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) or Cisco Certified
    • Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/security portion
  • Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
  • Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
  • Evaluates and grades students' class work and assignments
  • Provides coaching to individual students as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in the Information Technology industry
  • 3-5 years industry and/or classroom experience, teaching in their area of Cisco expertise
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills
  • Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community
  • Proven background in providing dynamic instruction with the ability to integrate industry, professional, and life experiences into a classroom learning environment in either large or small groups

Special Note: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $65.00/ hour.
If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
