Job description

We are looking for a Deli Manager/Hourly Supervisor to lead the deli and market team, ensuring exceptional product knowledge, guest experience, and operational execution. This role manages ordering, staff supervision, and product presentation for our high-end deli, cheese, caviar, and wine selections, while also supporting offsite events as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the deli/market team's daily operations
  • Place and manage orders for deli meats, cheeses, caviar, wine, and specialty items
  • Maintain expert product knowledge to guide customers on premium selections (charcuterie, artisan cheese, caviar, wine pairings)
  • Oversee product quality, freshness, rotation, and presentation standards
  • Train and coach team members on product knowledge and service standards
  • Support and staff offsite catering events as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors on deliveries, pricing, and invoice verification
  • Assist with inventory counts and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Resolve guest concerns and provide a high-touch, knowledgeable customer experience
  • Step in on register, floor, or prep support wherever needed

Qualifications
  • Prior management or supervisory experience required
  • Experience with deli meats and cheese handling/cutting required
  • Experience with caviar, wine, and other high-end specialty items strongly preferred
  • Strong product knowledge and passion for premium/gourmet foods
  • ServSafe Food Manager certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Willingness to work offsite events and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
