Caulking Foreman

Department: Field Operations

Reports To: Project Coordinator

Classification: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Caulking Foreman serves as the on-site leader and company representative responsible for overseeing daily caulking operations on commercial construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Sands Wall Systems’ quality standards while coordinating crews, materials, equipment, and communication between the field and project management team.

The ideal candidate is an experienced field professional with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, productivity, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership & Project Execution
  • Lead and supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and productive jobsite performance.
  • Coordinate daily work activities to maintain project schedules and production goals.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to crew members.
  • Monitor completed work throughout the project and address deficiencies immediately.
  • Maintain professional communication with general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and Sands project management.
  • Project Coordination
  • Communicate project updates, delays, change requests, material shortages, safety concerns, and jobsite issues to the Project Coordinator.
  • Coordinate manpower needs and labor planning with project management.
  • Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are available and organized on-site.
  • Assist with delivery coordination, unloading, and staging of materials and equipment.

Equipment & Site Management

Maintain accountability for company-owned and rented tools and equipment.

Ensure equipment is operated safely and maintained properly.

Maintain an organized, clean, and professional jobsite.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce OSHA regulations and Sands Wall Systems safety policies at all times.

Conduct daily oversight of jobsite safety practices and working conditions.

Ensure all employees and subcontractors comply with owner and general contractor jobsite requirements.

Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or violations immediately.

Additional Duties

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project success and company operations.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of construction experience on commercial or residential projects.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on caulking experience with the ability to produce high-quality finished work.

Previous leadership or crew supervision experience preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of caulking materials, installation methods, and industry tools.

Ability to read and follow project instructions and specifications.

Effective leadership and crew management skills.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and contractors.
