Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Round Rock, TX

Facility: Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson

Department: Pastoral Spiritual Care

Schedule: Rotating shift  l  Full-time

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Administer the Holy Sacraments, including daily Mass and the Sacrament of the Sick, to provide essential spiritual healing and comfort to Catholic patients and their families.

  • Provide compassionate pastoral counseling and crisis intervention, offering a grounded presence for those navigating bereavement or difficult medical diagnoses.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team and staff chaplains to ensure every patient's unique spiritual and emotional needs are integrated into their overall care plan.

  • Document patient care journeys within the medical record to ensure a seamless, high-quality continuum of care that respects the patient's spiritual history.

  • Lead the organizational community in worship and religious rituals, fostering a supportive environment that honors the spiritual mission of the facility.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, Philosophy, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field is required.
  • Ordained as a Roman Catholic Priest is required.
  • Faculties granted by the local ministry's diocese is required.
  • Completion of 1 unit of CPE is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of pastoral experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
