Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 1+ years of Cath Lab and Angio experience with scrub proficiency.

Details
  • Acute care hospital setting within a Level I Trauma, teaching facility
  • Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, with additional exposure to Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call requirement of approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Uses Philips equipment and ultrasound
  • Float requirement within the site and across the health system as requested
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • Active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
  • Oregon state license required if applicable, or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting
  • Experience with Epic charting system required
  • Experience in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and stent placement
  • Scrub experience required, including maintaining sterile field
  • Skills in equipment setup, access site prep, room circulating, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
  • One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain a sterile field, and stocking supplies
  • Must be able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately
  • Scrubs are provided for this role
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
  • Required to complete any assigned education within one week of assignment start
  • Subject to low census mandatory cancellation policy, requiring cancellation 1.5 hours before shift start, with one shift per two-week pay period cancellable without cause or penalty
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • Former Legacy Health staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates are not accepted; candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility
  • COVID vaccination required with no exemptions accepted
