Job description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring an active CA RN license and prior Cath Lab or IR experience.
Job Details
• Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital setting,
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for adult patients,
• Includes left and right heart catheterizations and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring,
• Uses Epic charting system,
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts and variable start times,
• Floating to other departments, units, or facilities within a 75+ mile radius may be required if job specifications are met,
• Local candidates accepted,
Job Requirements
• Active CA RN license required,
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• BSN required,
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience required,
• Minimum 3-5 years combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, and/or Cath Lab required,
• Minimum 5 years of clinic nursing experience required,
• Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, equipment, accessories, and sterile technique required,
• Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required,
• Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required,
• Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or proof of a scheduled booster appointment prior to start date,
Additional Information
• Provide direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and EP procedures,
• Monitor and manage procedural sedation and interpret dysrhythmias during cases,
• Prior teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules through the UC Learning platform
