ARRT / RCIS - Cath Lab Technician
Shift: Days, 40 hrs per week
Employment Type: 8 week Contract
Job Summary: MLee Healthcare is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team. The main role of an EP/Cardiovascular Technologist is to support the care of patients undergoing diagnostic and/or interventional EP/cardiology procedures within the EP/Cardiac Cath Lab. This role may also involve managing the inventory and distributing/delivering medications as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up imaging equipment and sterile field for cardiovascular procedures in the catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab).
  • Assist cardiologists and healthcare team in performing diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.
  • Operate fluoroscopy and digital imaging equipment to capture real-time images of the heart and blood vessels during procedures.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and responses during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain optimal images while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Process and analyze imaging data, ensuring clarity and accuracy for interpretation by cardiologists.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of cath lab supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and functionality.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment in the cath lab.
  • Document procedures, patient records, and imaging data accurately and timely.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiology
  • Licensure as a Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) in the respective State
  • 1 year experience in cardiovascular radiology with experience in non-invasive and invasive procedures? (preferred)
