Job description

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician

Location: Waterbury, Connecticut 06706 — On-site

Pay: $71.41 per hour

Type: Contract | On-site

Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift: Morning 07:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday, 5 Days/8 Hours, 40 Hours per week

Note: Non-local candidates only. Candidate must reside at least 60 miles from the facility.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Cath Lab Technician to assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The Cath Lab Tech will work under the supervision of cardiologists and the cath lab team to prepare the lab, assist with procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout. This is a day shift position requiring strong cardiovascular and catheterization lab experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Operate hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy, and intravascular imaging equipment
  • Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, and catheterization supplies
  • Monitor and document patient hemodynamics throughout procedures
  • Assist with emergent cases including STEMI activations and cardiogenic shock
  • Maintain accurate procedural documentation and charge capture
Requirements
  • RCIS, ARRT (CV or CI), or RN with cath lab experience required
  • Active state licensure or eligibility in Connecticut
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience preferred
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered
