Job description


Summary: The main function of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to ensure optimal guest experiences. This position will require you to multitask, move quickly, meet the needs of guests, collaborate with co-workers, keep a neat and tidy physical appearance, maintain all sanitation, food handling and safety procedures.
Essential Functions
  • Complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
  • Relay food and beverage orders and important information about allergies and special requests to the appropriate person. • Provide exceptional customer service for all guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of all food items on service lines, including ingredients, preparations, and allergens.
  • Maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings and operating procedures to aid guests in inquiries, seeking the aid of a supervisory if necessary.
  • Comply with HACCP regulations and procedures.
  • Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor.
  • Maintain composure in a fast- paced environment.
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns guests may have.
  • Maintain clean and sanitized work areas, cleaning as necessary and when required by using standard operating procedures.
  • Take and record food temperatures at required intervals in case of buffet service.
  • Replenish items on buffet from coolers, ovens, and hot boxes as necessary or required.
  • Break down buffet after meal service is finished and properly dispose of or store food.
  • Maintain the servery after service, by emptying the garbage cans, sweeping and mopping the servey.
  • Communicate often, clearly, and professionally with co-works and management.
  • Assist with the inventory, stocking, and requisitions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
