Blending historic charm with modern sophistication, Stonebreaker Hotel offers a distinctive setting for corporate gatherings, weddings, celebrations, and social events-and this role is instrumental in ensuring every event is executed with excellence from start to finish.
As the Catering Service Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned group events and catering functions, overseeing every detail from initial planning through successful execution. This highly visible, client-facing role requires strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
In this role, you will:
โ€ข Serve as one of the primary contacts for all assigned events, including food and beverage needs, event setup, A/V coordination, and guest experience details
โ€ข Utilize the hotel's sales and event systems to manage bookings, client communication, updates, and final event details
โ€ข Coordinate planning meetings, site tours, tastings, and pre-event logistics to ensure client expectations are exceeded
โ€ข Collaborate closely with Banquets, Culinary, Food & Beverage, Sales, Housekeeping, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
โ€ข Oversee on-site event setup and service while ensuring guest satisfaction throughout each event
โ€ข Follow up with clients post-event to evaluate success and build lasting relationships
โ€ข Prospect and generate new catering and group business opportunities within the Northwest Arkansas market and surrounding areas
โ€ข Maintain organized records, timely reporting, and accurate tracking of all client interactions and event details
โ€ข Conduct outreach and cold calling to local businesses, organizations, and community partners to expand event opportunities
โ€ข Assist with outside catering opportunities and travel locally as needed
We're looking for candidates with:
โ€ข 1-3 years of experience in catering, hospitality, event planning, hotel sales, or customer service
โ€ข Experience with prospecting, lead generation, and relationship-building
โ€ข Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple events simultaneously
โ€ข Knowledge of event operations, banquet service, A/V coordination, and food and beverage offerings
โ€ข Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn event management software
โ€ข Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
โ€ข A valid driver's license and ability to travel locally when needed
