About the role
The Category Strategy & Planning Manager is a unique & dynamic leadership opportunity to elevate Reckitt's customer engagement across its U.S. commercial business. As part of their responsibilities, they will play a critical role in connecting growth strategies for retailers, facilitating cross-functional collaboration in shaping brand & customer plans, and identifying white space opportunities to spark future category growth.
As part of an agile and purpose-led team, they will lead end-to-end efforts in unlocking key shopper/category understanding through storytelling & strategy and generate "Triple Win" opportunities that drive better outcomes for our customers, consumers, and Reckitt brands.

Your responsibilities
• Lead with purpose by facilitating & monitoring progress of commercial plans with upmost respect & integrity - working with diverse teams across Sales, Trade Marketing, Shopper Insights Marketing, and Category Development
• Enable the Customer Marketing & Sales organization to deliver category-centric customer plans via Line Reviews, Innovation Days, and Joint Business Planning
• Collaborate with Shopper teams to drive development of consumer, category, and retailer insights through research that leads to actionable impact
• Develop Customer & Category Growth Strategies grounded in strong consumer insights, shopper research that create opportunities to unlock for our customers
• Develop/understand Local Customer Marketing best practices and ensure transfer of knowledge to Category & Sales teams for implementation
• Enhance Reckitt's analytical capabilities through the implementation & usage of key data & insights platforms
• Train and Educate Customer Marketing stakeholders (analysts, account managers, and marketing managers) on honing storytelling & presentation skills, category-based selling fundamentals, insight capabilities & platforms
• Foster strong customer partnerships through direct engagement of Macro Trends & Category Strategy during sessions with key stakeholders from our retailers
• Ensure innovation deck and line review deck creation with Trade Marketing Manager & National Account Manager and present out to ensure best in class results
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5-10 years Direct Sales, Category Development, and/or Marketing experience, cross-functional exposure to other Commercial Functions
• Excellent understanding of 4P's go-to market strategies
• Proven leadership and ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration across a wide range of diverse teams
• Good understanding of Customer Management Process
• Excellent analytical skills & use of platforms (Excel, PowerBI)
• Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel Data, Numerator)
• Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Good interpersonal and time management skills

US salary ranges
USD $143,000.00 - $215,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
