Job description

Job Title: Tool Room Attendant (3rd shift: 8pm - 5am)

Company: Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee

Department: Production Engineering

Location: Clinton, Tennessee (AACT)

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

Set-up of cutting tools for the machining lines following tool setup instructions written in English.

Using Zoller presetter equipment to measure tool offset & runout.

Receiving / Inventory of cutting tool components.

Recording cutting tool data from kanban to database.

Collecting used tools from the lines for reload & returning reloaded tooling back to lineside storage cabinets.

Packaging and shipment of used tools to be sent out for reconditioning.

Maintaining 3-pillar and 5-S standards of tool room area and lineside storage cabinets.

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.

Ability to perform basic computer operations.

Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

Ability to understand metric measuring system, down to the micron level.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

Knowledge of Microsoft Access.

Experience with Zoller presetting equipment.

Ability to read and understand 2-D drawings of tool assemblies.

Experience disassembling, inspecting and reassembling cutting tools.

Education/Training/Certifications

High school degree required.

Some college, or Associates degree in technical field preferred.

Travel Requirements

Travel requirement for this position is minimal, and basically for travel to training classes for this field.
