Job Description

The cage supervisor oversees the daily cash handling needs of the Casino departments, assists the cage manager, prepares the daily work schedule, and oversees the posting of all gaming activity.

  • Safeguard the assets of the company
  • Assist the cage manager in the implementation of the procedures and policies that are necessary to ensure that the cash handling is performed within accepted standards established by management, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend action and assist the cage manager with regard to all human relations items of the personnel directly reporting to the cage/pit clerk departments.
  • Attend to the customer's needs on a daily basis in order to keep customer satisfaction at its highest degree.
  • Accurately redeem chips; perform foreign currency exchanges at the Casino's designated exchange rate.
  • Issue credit under the guidance of the cage manager.
  • Oversee the daily staffing and work requirements.
  • Ensure that all cage activity is in balance and maintained in an orderly manner.
  • Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards.
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of accounting, gaming, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly within the department the required standards and tasks, and with customers when addressing their needs.
  • Understanding of credit policies and procedures as set forth by management and the cage/credit manager for casino play.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays to attend to the cage supervision.
  • One (1) year Casino Cage money handling experience.
  • Math and verbal skills equivalent to a high school diploma.
  • Basic computer and 10-key skills to post and evaluate data.
  • Possess mature judgment and good organizational skills.
  • Be able to take a leadership role and work in a fast paced environment.
