Job description

Starting Wage: $15.05 hour plus tips

The Slot/Keno/Bingo Attendant is responsible for consistently providing a high degree of prompt, considerate and courteous guest service by assisting guests with gaming transactions, issues and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Slot Attendant

  • Offers accessibility to guests by constantly monitoring assigned area.
  • Verifies slot machine paper fills and verifies/performs hand pays.
  • Conducts cash transactions and jackpot cash outs accurately.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance.

Keno Attendant

  • Learns basic keno tickets and how to condition them.
  • Reconditions keno tickets as needed.
  • Scans winning keno tickets presented, calculates amount of winnings and pays guests.
  • Maintains the pace and overall control of the game while pulling keno numbers and writing tickets.
  • Runs the assigned casino areas for obtaining keno tickets for every game played.
  • Opens and/or closes the keno game per schedules hours of operation.
  • Runs Keno games at a minimum of six minutes per game.
  • Secures inventory and maintains accurate inventory records for Keno.
  • Maintains IRS license for multi-game tickets (Casino expense).

Bingo Attendant

  • Secures and maintains accurate inventory records for Bingo.
  • Sells all Bingo games, related products and suggests additional items to each guest.

General

  • Performs transactions on a remote validation system.
  • Demonstrates proficiency and accuracy when performing transactions with money and/or filling out required paperwork.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area keeping the guest area stocked with flyers.
  • Performs on-line accounting functions and completes associated paperwork.
  • Keeps track of large amount of cash while paying out winnings and taking in sales in different drawers.
  • Complies with all gaming regulations regarding alcohol sales.
  • Responds to and accesses the condition of machines that indicate that service is needed.
  • Complies with all casino policies and procedures, MICs, Gaming Rules and Regulations and Title 31 requirements.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications preferred.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must participate in and maintain Title 31 requirements.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to exchange information efficiently using an earpiece on a multichannel radio.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
