The SAP Business Analyst – SD/IBP Role

The SAP Business Analyst – SD/IBP plays a key role in supporting the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP solutions that meet business requirements. This role works closely with business users and technical teams to translate functional needs into effective SAP system solutions while ensuring smooth system operations.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Distribution
    • Lead and design SAP S/4HANA SD solutions aligned with business requirements.
    • Drive end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes in S/4HANA.
    • Configure and optimize organizational structures, customer and business partner master data, sales documents, deliveries, billing, and returns, pricing, condition techniques, and output management.
    • Manage S/4HANA-specific innovations including Business Partner approach and SAP Fiori apps for SD processes.
    • Handle advanced topics such as Credit Management (FSCM), Revenue Recognition, Intercompany and third-party sales, Order to Cash processes, Pricing and Conditions techniques, and Billing and FI integration.
    • Lead integration with FI (Universal Journal), MM, EWM, and PP.
  • Implementation & Support
    • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications.
    • Configure SAP modules according to business processes and best practices.
    • Support SAP implementations, enhancements, and rollouts.
    • Work with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, Integration) to deliver functional solutions.
    • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, including process flows and configuration guides.
    • Participate in testing activities (unit testing, integration testing, UAT).
    • Identify and resolve functional issues and provide ongoing application support.
    • Assist in user training, change management, and knowledge transfer.
    • Ensure solutions comply with internal controls and system standards.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and system optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on SAP SD.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration.
  • Strong functional knowledge of order-to-cash processes.
  • Experience with SAP IBP modules and planning concepts.
  • Knowledge of integration between SAP IBP and S/4HANA/ECC.
  • Good understanding of master data dependencies and data quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP S/4HANA SD certification.
  • Experience with Central Credit Management (FSCM).
  • Exposure to SD-EWM integration.
  • Experience in data migration (CVI, SD master data).
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
  • Exposure to SAP Fiori, reports, ad interfaces.
  • Experience in global or multi-company SAP environments.
  • Industry experience: Automotive Supplier and/or Automotive Manufacturing.
