Job Description:
Applies payments and processes on all financial transactions on inpatient and outpatient accounts accurately and on a timely basis into the hospital computer system. Processes and balance payments to non-A/R GL accounts, including Anesthesia Physicians, Network Physicians and ER Physicians.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1 year hospital/medical business office, banking data entry, or insurance office experience and one year cash processing experience.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Outlook Word and Excel. Must be able to demonstrate an ability to use formulas, create worksheets, store, retrieve and share data.
  • Must be proficient with a 10-key calculator, detail oriented with a good numeric aptitude and typing skills of 35 wpm with accuracy.
  • Healthcare insurance processing background preferred.
  • EPIC Patient Accounting experience desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization and analytical skills. Strong written/verbal communication skills.
