This role will process daily cash from all sources for US and CN banks. Examine, code, verify, balance, and reconcile a variety of transactions, listings, invoices, vouchers, and reports related to the Order to Cash Area. Track automation and other KPI. Process accounting documents as necessary.

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $21.16/hr - $31.20/hr with additional bonus potential

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, apply, and process all US and CN exception (non-auto posted) lockbox transactions, EDI, miscellaneous cash, manual and bank adjustments including scanning and attaching back up.
  • Secures and organizes deduction backup from customers via website, email or by phone.
  • Maintains electronic storage files which contain various support documents or templates needed to process deductions.
  • Accurately matches authorized deductions to planned promotions, issues customer credit for valid claims and submit repayment for unauthorized claims.
  • Responsible for researching and resolving all type of deductions in accordance with established policy and authorization limits.
  • Collaborates with Deductions and Cash Application Analyst for data analysis, reporting and KPI related tasks.
  • Keeps a reconciliation mindset for balance resolution and drives for completeness
  • Escalates issues and errors timely. Acts in the best interest of Winland Foods in all matters
  • Cross-train to support OTC in all areas as volumes requires
  • Keeps manager informed of activities that may require attention.
  • Supports projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or similar preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Deduction and Cash Application role
  • Experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry preferred
  • Experience with SAP and Vistex preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems, using sound judgement
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
  • Results driven with a focus on high performance, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (formal and informal) with business acumen and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, setting a tone of working in partnership and collaboration
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • Occasional travel to business meetings may be required
