Job description

This exciting opportunity is a role designed for individuals who are actively in their coursework to become a BCBA and are accruing practicum hours. Struggling to get opportunities to count toward your unrestricted hours? Do you want to get paid for your unrestricted hours? Then this role is for you! The Lead Case Supervisor role is intended to prepare an individual to be a successful BCBA upon completing their hours and passing their exam. The role will report to the Local Clinical Trainer (BCBA) at the team member’s specific clinic.

The Lead Case Supervisor role will also be part of our new Apex Program! This role is designed for individuals who are within 6-9 months of testing to become a BCBA. This program is elevating how we develop and support our team members as they pursue a career as a BCBA. It includes enhanced programming for all of our practicum students, as well as building community with your peers across centers.

Highlights of the Lead Case Supervisor Role:

  • Base pay: $32.50/hour, with $2,000 signing bonus upon offer!

  • Bonuses: $2,000 signing bonus, plus an additional $5,000 once you pass your BCBA exam

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases (20 paid unrestricted hours/week), learning and practicing the key skills to become a high-quality BCBA. This is a full-time, hourly position.
    • The caseload and paid unrestricted hours may be higher, as you get closer to testing. This will also depend on the local centers growth and availability

  • 1 additional week of PTO to prepare and study for your exam

  • High-quality study materials also provided once you’re within 6-9 months of testing

  • Guaranteed BCBA role at Soar following the passing of the BCBA exam and meeting program expectations (location will depend on local staffing needs).

  • Support and training: Dedicated ongoing supervision, training, and feedback from Local Clinical Trainer (BCBA) and other BCBAs in your center

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases (20 paid unrestricted hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress

  • Update client goals and programming, utilizing our electronic data collection platform

  • Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs

  • Participate in ESDM specific trainings, growing your clinical skillset

  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans, utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT)

  • Training and coaching to be provided

  • Meet with families to conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and support, utilizing Soar’s in-house curriculum

  • Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments for established clients, including training on the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and the ESDM Curriculum Checklist

  • Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs in your clinic

  • Be a part of the Soar integrated care team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings for collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists

  • Conduct direct client therapy (10-20 hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA

  • Be within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam

  • Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as a behavior therapist

  • Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning

  • Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy

  • Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback
