Job title: Warehouse Operator 

Location: Innisfail, Alberta (Address: 5128 54 St, Innisfail, AB T4G 1S1)

Compensation Range: $27-$28/hr

 

Position Summary

We are looking for a Warehouse Operator for our Nestle Purina PetCare business, based out of our facility in Innisfail, Alberta, reporting into the Warehouse Supervisor. This is a key position on the Nestle Purina PetCare Team and is responsible for facilitating the movement of finished product through the distribution system while ensuring product integrity, and superior customer service.

A day in the life of a Warehouse Operator

As a Warehouse Operator your major responsibilities will include:

Case Picking

  • Understand and operate all SAP-WM functions correctly.
  • Case pick product according to customer specifications, layering guidelines, one SKU per pallet as special requirements.
  • Wrap, label, and stage all case pick in the specified stage location.
  • Meet or exceed the Case Pick KPI requirements.

Truck Loader and Unloader

  • Pre-plan each shipment to ensure weight distribution, load integrity, and that shipping instructions will be followed. 
  • Understand and utilize appropriate loading and unloading procedures ensuring both Safety and Food Safety.
  • Safely perform product retrieval and put away.
  • Perform and document required Trailer inspections.
  • Use adequate dunnage on trailers to ensure load integrity and safe during transit.
  • Understand and operate all SAP-WM functions correctly.

Sanitation

  • Understand and follow sanitation requirements and follow prescribed schedule.
  • Participate in other sanitation activities as required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe manner and adhere to all prescribed safety requirements.
  • Regular attendance and disciplined work habits.
  • Need to be a team player and work within a team setting
  • Job functions are rotational.
  • Attend the daily Shift Hand Over (SHO) as part of the NCE process.

What will make you successful?

As the successful candidate, you will be the ultimate team player and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also:

  • Completion of High School Diploma
  • 2 years' experience in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment, preferably with a warehouse management system in place.
  • Forklift license and experience required
  • RF scanning and SAP experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Mandatory working overtime may be required.
