Job description

Position: Cart Retrieval Technician
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position: Full Time- Hourly
Salary: $20-22 per hour plus mileage
We seek a Retrieval Technician to work with the Operations Manager to provide services in the San Jose, CA area. The tech will locate abandoned shopping carts in designated areas (streets, parking lots, neighborhoods) and return them to grocery and retail stores.
Qualifications:

  • Have a truck or flatbed trailer and be able to pick up and deliver shopping carts
  • Have a valid state driver’s license
  • Have appropriate vehicle insurance & valid vehicle registration
  • Be able to follow safety protocols
  • Be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Be able to work independently as part of the RMS team while maintaining communication with staff
Responsibilities:

  • Maintain store shopping cart inventories during High-Volume seasons
  • Follow route structures to better service customers efficiently and promptly
  • Submit all work performed through RMS's operations app
  • Work with the Operations Manager to coordinate retrieval schedule, services and address cart-related issues.
