Job description

The Beverage Cart Attendant provides an elevated customer service experience while serving F&B products to golfers on the golf course. The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for efficient, high-end service while maintaining safety and service standards.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead by example and promote Glen Oaks Country Club Values.
  • Stock beverage cart according to par sheet at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Greet and serve golfers food and beverage during play.
  • Inspect golf cart for presentation and report any damage or maintenance issues to the Manager on Duty.
  • Observe basic golf etiquette when on the golf course and when approaching golfers.
  • Drive golf cart with extreme caution, adhering to safety standards while observing rules regarding cart path usage and common courtesy.
  • Restock beverage cart as needed during service.
  • Unload beverage cart, restock par levels, count cash, ring in member charges and credit card transactions on computer.
  • Assist with restocking the Bev Cart cooler when needed. Take all beers out of the packs and stock in fridge.
  • Keep the liquor room clean and trash taken out.
  • Stay well informed of club events.
  • Promote and adhere to standards set by Glen Oaks Country Club.
  • Complete any other projects or tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 6 months similar customer service experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and basic mathematical skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Equipment to be used: Golf cart, hand truck, general beverage equipment and computer.
Typical Physical Demands: This position requires moderate strength and physical fitness. Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds, remain sitting for long periods of time as well as move in and out of the cart while serving. Requires ability to endure extreme temperatures for extended periods of time. The position also requires repeated bending, stooping, reaching and a normal range of hearing and vision.
