About this role:
As a Carrier HVAC Rental Service Technician, you'll be a part of Carrier's Rental Systems network and considered a technical expert, providing HVAC equipment repair and installation solutions for products under warranty. This is your chance to grow your investigative skills as you troubleshoot, analyze, and problem-solve for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:
As an expert HVAC technician, the role will involve the following:
  • Independently diagnoses and repairs various HVAC equipment and components. This includes, but is not limited to the following: 
  • Diagnosed and repaired air-cooled and water-cooled systems up to 300 tons and hot water boilers up to 200 hp. 
  • Diagnose and repair Hydronics and piping systems.  
  • Diagnose and repair various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, Spot Coolers, gas heaters, controls, and electrical components. 
  • Maintain accurate field service reports, including refrigerant tracking and timekeeping logs. 
  • Regular use of power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment to service and repair rental systems as needed.  
  • Operate equipment vehicles, including forklifts.  
  • Load and unload trucks.  
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers.  
  • Perform other duties to support the business as needed, including inventory count, general maintenance, cleaning, and organizing.
  • Provides sales leads to office personnel.  
  • Promotes Carrier products and services to customers.  
  • Assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking work.  
  • Adherence to EHS protocol at all times. 

Basic Qualifications:
We seek someone who can manage time effectively and communicate proficiently with customers. You will also need the following:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of Commercial HVAC experience.
  • 1+ year experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to lift to 50 lbs. 
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Forklift Certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Type 1 - EPA Certification - Small Appliances or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. 
  • Type 2 - EPA Certification - High-pressure appliances or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. 
  • Type 3 - EPA Certification - Low-pressure appliances or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Other experience and qualities you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
  • Associate degree or HVAC technical certification.
  • HVAC Rentals experience.
