Job description

The Office of Student Engagement is seeking Carriage House Front Desk Attendants. Carriage House Front Desk Attendants are responsible for providing supervision for the Carriage House Student Center as well as facilitating the everyday operations of the space and occasionally assisting with Student Engagement events. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, multi-task, and take initiative to complete tasks. Evening and weekend hours are required. Regular tasks for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Greet all guests as they enter the Carriage House
  • Answer Carriage House phone and relay messages to appropriate staff member
  • Pick-up and distribute mail from campus mail room
  • Check-out equipment to students for use in the Carriage House and ensure equipment is returned in good condition
  • Perform regular walk-throughs of the Carriage House, to ensure the safety of students and equipment
  • Assist with any programming that may occur during assigned shift
  • Assist with the promotion of events.
  • Create and develop programs to take place on a regular basis in the Carriage House.
  • Assist with general Office of Student Engagement programs

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
