Job description

TeamGOV, Inc. seeks a Full-Time General CleanerMUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECKRequirements:
  • 5 years of Janitorial work or related work
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check
  • Have a High School Degree/GED equivalent
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. for 1520 feet
  • Must be able to push and pull 20 lbs. to maneuver floor equipment
  • The ability to stop and bend in order to provide janitorial services
  • Must have a valid State Driver's License
  • Responsibilities:
  • Janitorial staff is scheduled in assigned areas to ensure that all carpeted and horizontal surfaces are detail vacuumed and dusted weekly.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from the assigned areas and dispose of them in the appropriate container on the loading dock.
  • Clean fixtures, surfaces, toilets, and urinals, clean mirrors, mop floors, and stock restrooms.
  • Before the end of the shift, remove food trash from the break rooms and police public restrooms.
  • High and low cleaning will be done as scheduled
  • Detail the stairwells; this includes landings, steps, and handrails.
  • Mop freight elevator landings and break room floors.
  • Detail elevator cars and tracks.
  • Clean the aluminum can recycling containers.
  • Maintain communication with the janitorial services manager/supervisor
  • Inventory supplies and equipment and provide reports to the Lead Janitor/Manager
  • Keep premises of all offices and buildings in a clean and orderly condition
  • Transport small equipment between departments
  • Wash metal, glass, rubber, plastic, etc.
  • Monitor own quality of work to ensure contract specifications are met
  • Consult with janitorial service manager/supervisor when supplies and materials are needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and customer information that you may have access to
  • Participate in inservice training designed to maintain and improve job skills
