Job description

Job Description: We are looking for an efficient, safety-minded Concrete Foundation Formwork Carpenter for commercial construction. We have long-term work available for the right candidate in a variety of positions. Applicants should have expertise in carpentry, understanding of construction drawings, and the ability to work with various formwork materials.

Applicants must have construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security. Essential Functions Build and set up the necessary forms for concrete placement, ensuring they meet formwork specific drawings and quality standards.

Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, or plastic form materials. Assist in preparation of the site for concrete pouring, including reinforcing and bracing the forms. Work closely with concrete crews to ensure proper alignment and positioning of forms before the concrete is poured.

Inspect and verify the accuracy and quality of constructed forms to ensure they meet safety and project requirements. Safely and efficiently dismantle forms after the concrete has cured. Clean and store forms for future use or disposal Adhere to all safety protocols Formwork generally includes the following: foundation footings, finished concrete forms, cast-in-place concrete walls, building and supporting Doka systems, Symon panels, and plywood systems Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw and jigsaw Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site Follow direction from supervision Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew Requirements: Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
