What You'll Do:
  • Install interior finish trim, including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and window casings.
  • Install chair rail, wainscoting, coffered ceilings, and built-in cabinetry.
  • Hang interior and exterior doors and install hardware.
  • Install stair railings, balusters, newel posts, stair treads, and other finish carpentry components.
  • Fit and install mantels, shelving, decorative millwork, and custom trim details.
  • Apply caulking and finishing touches to create a clean, professional appearance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
  • Take precise measurements and accurately cut materials using miter saws, table saws, and hand tools.
  • Safely operate nail guns, drills, levels, squares, and other finish carpentry tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized jobsite while inspecting completed work to ensure quality and compliance with company safety standards. These responsibilities are based directly on the hiring manager's trim carpenter outline.

What You Need:
  • Previous experience as a Trim Carpenter or Finish Carpenter.
  • Experience installing residential finish carpentry, trim, doors, moldings, and millwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
  • Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing finish materials with precision.
  • Proficiency using miter saws, table saws, nail guns, drills, levels, and other carpentry tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
