Job Description

  • Support a design/build construction team that assembles pre-manufactured metal buildings for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Assist carpenters with building assembly, finish carpentry tasks, and material handling to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters in assembling pre-manufactured metal buildings on commercial and industrial job sites.
  • Support finish carpentry work, including tasks that help complete interior and exterior building details.
  • Install and secure metal panels by accurately screwing and fastening them according to specifications.
  • Transport and organize carpenters’ tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas as directed.
  • Use power tools and hand tools safely and correctly under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
  • Measure and mark materials using a tape measure to support framing and general construction activities.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as site cleanup, material staging, and assisting with framing work.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on active construction sites and outdoor environments.
  • Work collaboratively with carpenters and other crew members to maintain productivity and meet project timelines.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure in a construction setting.
  • Basic construction experience, including familiarity with job site practices and workflows.
  • Comfort working with and around power tools and hand tools.
  • Capability to perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
