The Carpenter performs skilled carpentry work in the construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of hospital buildings and related facilities. - Construct, install, repair, and maintain walls, partitions, doors, windows, flooring, casework, and other structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders to determine materials and project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Perform minor demolition and remodeling activities in accordance with safety and infection control standards.
- Ensure compliance with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols and maintain proper containment measures in active healthcare environments.
- Follow all applicable building codes, life safety codes, and hospital policies during construction and repair activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring proper safety signage and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
