This is a local, full-time, site-based role. Candidates must be based in Edmonton or the surrounding area.

NDura Developments is looking for a reliable, motivated, carpenter to support our Site Superintendents across residential infill and multi-family projects throughout Edmonton.

This role is ideal for someone with residential construction experience who understands the project lifecycle and enjoys working directly in the field. You will assist with daily site operations, materials, trade coordination, documentation, quality control, and general site support.


About the Role

The carpenter closely with the Site Superintendent from site preparation through construction, completion, and turnover.

You will help keep sites organized and safe, coordinate materials and deliveries, complete daily documentation, support trades, and assist with deficiencies and project closeout.

Success requires initiative, practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and confidence using construction tools.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general carpentry, framing, finishing, installation, and repair work across residential infill and multi-family projects
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and measurements to complete work accurately
  • Install, repair, and maintain wood structures, framing, fixtures, and other building components
  • Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment
  • Assist the Site Superintendent with daily site operations and construction activities
  • Support projects from site preparation and framing through completion, deficiencies, and turnover
  • Complete repairs, deficiencies, punch-list items, and other carpentry work required to keep projects moving
  • Identify construction issues and recommend practical solutions to the Site Superintendent
  • Assist with quality control and ensure completed work meets project drawings, specifications, and company standards
  • Receive, organize, move, and track tools, materials, equipment, and deliveries
  • Assist with material handling, site setup, cleanup, and general construction duties as required
  • Maintain clean, organized, secure, and safe work areas and construction sites
  • Coordinate and communicate professionally with subcontractors, trades, suppliers, inspectors, and other site personnel
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with the Site Superintendent and wider project team
  • Complete site photographs, checklists, daily logs, and other required project documentation
  • Help maintain accurate JobTread records and project information
  • Follow company safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions or hazards
  • Maintain proper care, use, and storage of company tools, materials, and equipment


What You Bring

  • 2-4 years of residential construction, home building, or related field experience preferred
  • Understanding of the residential construction project lifecycle
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other construction tools
  • Familiarity with residential building methods and active construction sites
  • Basic ability to understand construction drawings and schedules
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently when required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Physically capable of performing construction site duties
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • English proficiency, spoken and written
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence

WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, and other construction safety training are considered assets.
