Breast Surgeon
Charlotte NC Metro Area
Outstanding opportunity for a Fellowship trained Breast Surgeon to join CaroMont Health, in Gastonia, North Carolina, located less than 30 minutes from Charlotte, one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
CaroMont Health is a renowned, not-for-profit health system that serves as the dominant provider in an expanding service area, which includes Gaston, Lincoln, and Cleveland Counties in North Carolina; York and Cherokee Counties in South Carolina; and a growing segment of the western half of metropolitan Mecklenburg County in North Carolina.
  • Progressive and comprehensive 476-bed main campus hospital located in Gastonia, NC, with a Level III Trauma Center
  • A new, state-of-the-art acute-care 56-bed satellite hospital in Belmont, an affluent nearby suburb of Charlotte, which opened its doors in January 2025 and is focused on women's healthcare.
  • Active medical staff representing all major medical sub-specialties including established intensivist and hospitalist practices.
  • CaroMont Health employs 5,000 healthcare professionals with a growing medical staff membership of over 400.
CaroMont Health's breast program has full accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
The program is fully supported by a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast radiologists, pathologists, and other dedicated breast surgeons. These physicians participate in a weekly breast-specific tumor conference allowing for a custom treatment plan to be developed for each patient presented.

This will be an employed opportunity and will offer a competitive compensation package including a two-year salary guarantee, productivity / incentive bonus potential, paid time off, generous benefits and a relocation allowance. There will be no general surgery call requirements.
Gaston County, with a population of 200,000, offers an excellent quality of life with great public and private school options as well as lovely neighborhoods from which to choose. While there is certainly ample shopping, dining, and recreational opportunities right here in Gastonia, you may take advantage of the many opportunities in Charlotte, just 30 minutes away, offering the amenities of any large metropolitan city ranging from upscale dining and shopping to the performing arts and professional sports.
