Maintenance Technician

Hourly Rate: $16.50 per hour

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance to preserve the physical integrity, safety, and appearance of the resort. This role supports the upkeep of resort facilities, rental accommodations, grounds, amenities, streets, equipment, and utility systems while delivering exceptional service to guests and residents. The Maintenance Technician helps ensure the resort remains clean, safe, operational, and welcoming at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions listed below. Other duties may be assigned, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Facility & Property Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to rental accommodations, buildings, facilities, streets, and resort infrastructure.
  • Complete site inspections and condition checklists before and after guest occupancy to ensure accommodations meet company standards.
  • Identify maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain resort vehicles, tools, equipment, and maintenance facilities in safe working condition.

Grounds & Curb Appeal

  • Maintain resort grounds, landscaping, and common areas to ensure a clean, attractive, and inviting environment.
  • Mow, trim, edge, weed, rake, mulch, plant, and perform other landscaping duties as needed.
  • Remove debris, fallen branches, and weather-related hazards from resort grounds.
  • Apply approved fertilizers, herbicides, and weed treatments in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Ensure the resort consistently meets CRR Hospitality’s curb appeal and presentation standards.

Resort Cleanliness & Amenities

  • Collect and dispose of trash and debris from common areas, streets, and recreational spaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleanliness of dog parks and other guest-use areas.
  • Clean and maintain resort amenities, including clubhouses, offices, restrooms, bathhouses, laundry facilities, maintenance buildings, pools, playgrounds, and recreational areas.
  • Inspect playgrounds, pools, spas, and recreational amenities regularly, reporting concerns and completing minor repairs as appropriate.
  • Ensure streets, sidewalks, and public access areas remain safe, clean, and free of hazards.

Pool Operations & Safety

  • Monitor, test, and adjust pool and spa chemical levels, where applicable, to maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures when operating equipment, handling chemicals, performing repairs, and driving company vehicles.
  • Safely operate maintenance equipment and vehicles while completing assigned duties.

Guest Service & Team Support

  • Provide friendly, professional, and responsive service to guests, residents, and team members.
  • Assist with guest arrivals, departures, and site setups as needed to support resort operations.
  • Support special projects, seasonal maintenance activities, and other operational needs.
  • Work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous maintenance, facilities, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, power tools, lawn equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Knowledge of pool maintenance and chemical handling is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
